Steven - I enjoyed his collection of short stories Love and Obstacles, a range of tales from average to very good. His use of language is powerful. I have not found time or inclination to read any of his other works yet.

ReplyDeleteThank you. All three are always on my library shelves, so I may take that one up after I've finished what is presently on the list. (Maeve Brennan's magisterial, powerful _The Springs of Affection_).
