A French List of the Best Books of the Year

I find it disappointing that it is headed by a book as impenetrable as Colum McCann's (Et que le vaste monde poursuive sa course folle in French); however, there is some consolation is seeing Marilynne Robinson's Home (Chez Nous) and Philip Roth's Exit Ghost (Exit le fantôme).
I guess I just have to keep hammering away at Mr. McCann's book--but I honestly expect it to the The Titanic of books for me. Not Mr. McCann's fault, surely, only a measure of my inadequacy as a reader, but I'm not going to berate myself over it.
