Just Because I Knew You'd All Be Anxious to Hear
Present this year at the annual GSA in Denver: "Putting Anomalocaris on a Soft-Food Diet?"
I'm surprised this hasn't been done before given the strange formulations of the mouth-parts of Anomalocaris (one part looks something like a pineapple ring). And if you bother to look at this, you'll begin to understand why the world of paleontology is so incredibly fascinating. Or not.
Oh, and just in case you wanted to see Anomalocaris.
Reconstruction
Reconstruction showing pineapple-ring mouth (at one time, the mouth parts were thought to be a completely separate species of some jellyfish-like animal)
Actual fossils including mouthparts
