I Find This Site Unaccountably Interesting
Rebecca Gratz and 19th Century America

Perhaps it is because I love to learn about something that I didn't even have the slightest inkling about. So many things I may not understand entirely, but it is rare that there is something completely new and yet so well known by some, and so old by human standards. It helps to reshape the world view and that is, after all, one of the great purposes of reading.

Thank you so much for your comment. I enjoy writing my blog although I know that its subject, a nineteenth-century philanthropist, is not exactly an internet magnet. I just hope that my blog contributes to knowledge and provides an enriching experience for those who find it. I am delighted that you found it engaging.
ReplyDeleteDear Ms. Sklaroff,
ReplyDeleteI find it incredibly interesting, and I can't figure out why, because normally that period of American History is of limited interest to me. But you obviously have a fondness for your subject which is contagious.
Thank you for taking the time to drop by and comment.
