Glory Be: Real Free Speech

Free Speech on Campus becomes a reality

No matter how laudable the goal, the restriction of speech in the furtherance of that goal brings to mind Franklin's famous adage:

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Substitute here almost any laudable or virtuous goal and you still have truth.  Frankly, I'd rather know clearly those who are inclined to hate speech against any group so that I could give them wide berth.
