I don't read westerns generally, so my nominations can be easily passed by because of lack of knowledge of the genre. However, I still think that any listing of great westerns should include Walter Van Tilburg Clark's _The Ox-Bow Incident_ and _The Track of the Cat_, both of which were made into very decent films.
