Always Wanted to Know More About Georgette Heyer?

Then visit the Classics Circuit this Month while Georgette is making the rounds.

A writer I cannot recommend highly enough for sparkling sense of humor, well-developed characters, interesting plots.  She's not at all what you might expect if you shudder at the thought of her publication in the Harlequin line.  Head and shoulders above the rest, Ms. Heyer gave us both insight into history (and the history of fashion) and comedies of manners the likes of which we had not seen since Mrs. Gaskell (at least).

As a man, I'm somewhat furtive about sneaking into the romance aisle to snag the latest rereleases, but I'm always happy that I have done so in the end.  Very, very pleasant and often rewarding reading.
